John has 30 years of experience as a producer, director, designer and
writer. After earning a Master's Degree in Film from Boston University, he served as Advertising/Promotion Director for the legendary Orson Welles
Cinema Complex in Cambridge, MA.

John then established Filmsmith, Inc., a film production
company specializing in sports documentaries and
industrials. Later, he worked for ten years as an award-
winning commercial photographer, serving clients such
as Fidelity, Houghton-Miflin, Cahners Publishing
and Digital.

As the Creative Director of Promosis, John has developed major promotions for Forbes and Forbes.com, Bose, Oracle, Samsung, Fleet, Volvo, Adweek and Nextel, among many.

John maintains a life-long love of theatre and has directed over 60
productions on professional, university and community theatre stages and has founded three theatre companies. He and his wife Jean have two grown daughters and live on the edge of Old Town, Marblehead.
