
Move over, mouse. The Cat is out of the bag!
In
the September 2000 Forbes Best of the Web, Forbes unveiled
a brilliant new :CueCat technology which links editorial and print ads
to the Internet.
To help them launch their "Internet Enchanced Publishing" initiative, Forbes called on us to create and implement a promotion that would reward Forbes' subscribers (all 850,000* of them) for installing and using the new :CueCat scanners.We responded with the Forbes Swipe A Jaguar SwipestakesTM.
In addition to the promotion itself, we designed and produced the box and enclosed brochure that delivered the :CueCat and installation CD to 850,000 subscribers.
To be entered to win one of five Jaguars or other prizes amounting to more than $500,000 in value, subscribers had to install the :CueCat software, plug in their Cat, swipe the :Cue printed in the brochure and enroll online at the custom promotion web site, which we also designed and hosted.
